Cloud9 finished 1st at Club Open - Fall Split: North America

Cloud9 are a North American esports organisation whose PUBG Mobile team began in November 2018 as an acquisition from Team Gates Mobile. The side quickly became one of the region's leading names, winning the Club Open Fall Split 2019 North America event for $25,000 and then finishing fourth at both the Star Challenge World Cup 2019 and the Peacekeeper Elite Championship 2019.

The 2020 season kept that standard. Cloud9 finished fourth in the first Americas Pro League season for $13,450, fourth again at the World League 2020 West event for $22,000, and fifth in the second Americas season for $7,050. Across two years the team never finished outside the top ten of a major North American event, a consistency that few of their contemporaries matched.

Cloud9 closed its division in October 2020, ending a short but high-quality run. Cloud9's PUBG Mobile record matters because it shows a major multi-game organisation competing seriously in the mobile title's first global era, with a national open title and two fourth-place finishes at world-level events to show for it.
