Gen.G Esports PUBG Mobile Roster

Gen.G Esports is one of the biggest names in global esports, but its Korean PUBG Mobile division was a brief experiment rather than a dynasty. The organisation itself was founded in 2017, yet it did not enter PUBG Mobile until 23 January 2024, and the division closed in January 2025, giving it a competitive life of roughly a single calendar year.

Within that year Gen.G played four Pro Series events. Its best result came immediately: second place in the Pro Series 2024 Season 0 for $3,003, a promising start that suggested the new roster could challenge the established Korean sides. The rest of the year was harder, with twelfth place in Season 1 and fourteenth in both Season 2 and Season 3, as the team settled into the lower half of the league.

The short stint is still worth recording because of who Gen.G is. A global organisation with championship pedigree in other titles chose to enter Korean PUBG Mobile, found the domestic league tougher than expected, and exited within a year. This Korean division is also distinct from Gen.G Esports MENA, a separate regional team listed on its own Liquipedia tab, so the two must not be merged.
