ION Esports finished 1st at Pro League - Indonesia Spring 2022

ION Esports were an Indonesian PUBG Mobile organisation founded in August 2020 and disbanded in June 2022, and their entire reputation rests on one remarkable spring. For most of their short life they were a mid-table Indonesian league team: eighth in the Indonesia Season 2 Pro League in September 2020, a result that promised competence rather than dominance.

Spring 2022 changed the story completely. ION won the Indonesia Spring 2022 Pro League, worth $34,050, the largest single prize on their record by a wide margin, and that title carried them to the Southeast Asia Championship's Spring edition, where they finished fourteenth. A domestic title followed by a modest regional showing is a familiar pattern for Indonesian champions of this era, and ION fit it exactly.

The team did not survive the year of its title, disbanding in June 2022, which gives the page a clean shape: a two-year life, a steady start, one championship spring, and a quick end. There is no later decline to document and no revival to explain, just a team that peaked, briefly, at exactly the right moment in its own league.
