ION finished 1st at Indonesia National Championship 2020

ION is an Indonesian PUBG Mobile team mentored by Bigetron Esports, whose Liquipedia title Bigetron ION redirects to the ION page. The team was formed in January 2019 and loaned to ION Esports later that year, returning with a new roster in November 2021. That unusual history, split between a Bigetron-backed beginning and an independent second life, makes it one of the more distinctive Indonesian sides of its era.

The headline result was a win at the 2020 Indonesian national championship, worth $12,400, the biggest prize in the team's record. Around it came an eighth place at the 2021 Piala Presiden Esports, a fourth place at the 2021 Southeast Asia Cyber Arena's major public event, and a fifth place at the 2020 BAPAREKRAF Game Prime. The ION name also carries its own Liquipedia page, separate from the Bigetron ION redirect, reflecting a history that moved between Bigetron backing and independence across its two acts.
