Lag Gaming were a Japanese esports organisation founded in February 2019, with their PUBG Mobile division following that June. They were part of Japan's competitive scene from its amateur days, finishing third at the Japan Championship Season 3 and second in Japan League Season 0 in 2020, before becoming one of the strongest teams of the first professional season: fourth in Phase 1 of Season 1 in 2021, and winners of the FAV CUP earlier that same year.
Lag Gaming stayed in the Japan League through Season 3, adding an eighth place in Phase 1 of Season 2 and a tenth in Phase 1 of Season 3, but the early peak was never repeated. Their PUBG Mobile division was discontinued in February 2024, and the organisation itself followed a day later. Across five years Lag Gaming bridged two eras of Japanese PUBG Mobile, from open championships to a fully professional league.
