SCARZ finished 1st at Japan Championship
SCARZ were one of the most successful Japanese PUBG Mobile teams of the early professional era. The organisation dates to 2012, its PUBG Mobile division to March 2019, and within months it had won the first PUBG Mobile Japan Championship in June 2019 and represented Japan at the Club Open Spring Split Global Finals, finishing 16th. That was only the start: SCARZ finished second in every phase of Japan League Season 1 in 2021, including the overall season standings, for a combined $219,409 across the season's headline result.
Later seasons were less kind, with 11th-place finishes in Phase 2 of both Season 2 and Season 3, and the PUBG Mobile division was dissolved in January 2024. SCARZ's legacy rests on that 2019 championship and the 2021 runners-up campaign, which made them, briefly, the second-best team in Japan and one of the country's most recognisable esports names.
