SunSister finished 3rd at Japan League Season 3: Phase 1
SunSister were a Japanese esports organisation whose PUBG Mobile division ran from May 2020 to January 2024, spanning the whole arc from Japan's amateur era to the professional league's third season. They were slow starters, finishing 14th in Japan League Season 0 and in the lower half of Season 1, but they rebuilt repeatedly, and the patience paid off in their final two seasons.
In Season 2 they finished fourth in Phase 2 for $67,031, and in Season 3 they went one better in the first phase, taking third for $34,832, before a seventh-place finish in Phase 2 and seventh at the Rivals Cup 2023. SunSister never won a league phase, but their late-career surge, from 14th in Season 0 to the Season 3 podium, is the team's defining story, and it ended only when the division was disbanded in January 2024.
