SYFY finished 1st at Brazil Fall 2023
SYFY was a Brazilian PUBG Mobile side that ran from June 2020 to February 2024, a lifespan that covered the shift from the Club Open system to the settled Pro League structure. Under chief executive Matheus Goncalves de Melor, the team built its reputation in the open qualifiers first, winning its way into the professional conversation rather than buying a place in it.
The record bears that out. SYFY won the Club Open for South America in Fall 2022 for $10,000 and then won the Club Open for Brazil in Fall 2023 for $2,681, adding third place at the National Championship Brazil Fall 2023 for $872. Between those open triumphs it also placed tenth in the Pro League Brazil Spring 2023 for $7,000, a solid mid-table finish in the country's top division. The division closed in February 2024.
