TRIDENT is a multi-gaming esports organisation founded on 10 June 2019 that fields a Korean PUBG Mobile roster, which is why it appears on Liquipedia's Korea tab despite the organisation being described as Japanese. That cross-border shape, a Japanese organisation competing in the Korean league, is the first thing to understand about the team, and its results show it belonged in that league.
Its best season was 2022. TRIDENT won the Open Challenge 2022 Phase 1 for $820, then finished second in the Pro Series 2022 Season 2 for $3,911, its largest prize, and sixth in the Spring Finals of the same year. It had already shown promise in 2021 with sixth place in the Pro Series 2021 Season 1 for $3,601, and it later reached the Korea versus Japan Showdown in both 2022 and 2023.
Later results were quieter, with a third place in the Open Challenge 2023 Season 2 Phase 1 for $149 and a seventh place in that season's promotion event, but the 2022 peak stands. TRIDENT's record is a reminder that the Korean Pro Series drew in organisations from beyond Korea, and that a Japanese-backed roster could finish second in a Korean season.
