ZETA DIVISION were one of Japan's most recognisable esports organisations, and their PUBG Mobile story began under a different name. Founded as JUPITER in January 2018, the organisation entered PUBG Mobile in March 2019 and rebranded as ZETA DIVISION in July 2021, keeping the same competitive core through the change. Their best result came just after the rebrand: third in Phase 2 of Japan League Season 1 in October 2021, worth $65,823.
They followed that with second place at the Rivals Cup 2022 and a tenth-place finish in Phase 2 of Season 2, but the division never matched its Season 1 peak and was dissolved in January 2023. ZETA DIVISION's PUBG Mobile chapter lasted under four years, yet it produced a league podium, a Rivals Cup runners-up finish and one of the most famous brand transitions in Japanese esports, from JUPITER to ZETA.
