Riyadh hosted the first PUBG Mobile World Cup, as part of the Esports World Cup, with 28 teams competing for a $3,050,000 prize pool. Alpha7 Esports of Brazil won the inaugural title, beating REJECT of Japan in the Grand Finals.

The tournament used a Group Stage, a Survival Stage and Grand Finals. Alpha7's victory made them the first team to lift the World Cup trophy.

Twenty-eight teams entered across three stages. The Group Stage ran from 19 to 21 July with 24 teams playing 18 matches, sending the top 12 to the Main Tournament and the bottom 12 to the Survival Stage. Sixteen teams played the Survival Stage on 23 and 24 July, with the top four joining the Main Tournament field of 16 for 18 matches from 26 to 28 July.

Alpha7 collected $400,000 for winning the Main Tournament, from a Main Tournament pool of $1,500,000. The event pool reached $3,050,000 in total, with $1,000,000 set aside for the Group Stage and $380,000 for the Survival Stage.

Boulevard Riyadh City hosted the event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the BR Arena named as the venue. The tournament ran offline from 19 to 28 July 2024 as part of the Esports World Cup.

Placement points followed the Points10 scale, paying 10 points for first place down to one point for seventh and eighth, plus one point per finish. The Main Tournament carried no Smash Rule, so the title went to the highest total after 18 matches.
