Warriors Esports was the esports division of the New Zealand Warriors, a professional rugby league club based in Auckland, and its PUBG Mobile team competed in Korea rather than Oceania. The division ran from 28 March 2021 to 17 November 2021, a single season in which it managed to win a Korean domestic title, a striking achievement for a rugby club's first step into esports.
The title was the Pro Series 2021 Season 2, won on 31 October 2021 for $19,581, and it capped a season that had already produced second place in the Pro Series 2021 Season 1 for $10,804, victory in the Open Challenge 2021 for $847, and second place in the DS League for $1,309. Warriors Esports also played the Peace Elite Asia Invitational in April 2021, finishing thirteenth in a cross-regional field.
The division closed almost as quickly as it had peaked, disbanding seventeen days after its championship win. Its players moved on to other Korean sides, and the New Zealand Warriors did not return to PUBG Mobile. As a one-season champion with a famous sporting parent, Warriors Esports is one of the most distinctive pages in the Korean set.
