PMGO 2024: REJECT are the first champions
Overview
The 2024 PUBG Mobile Global Open was announced in 2023 and played in São Paulo, Brazil. REJECT of Japan won the first edition, making history as the inaugural PMGO champions.
KRAFTON and Level Infinite organised the event. It opened the open global circuit that later split into two seasons in 2026.
REJECT took $100,000 from a $356,000 prize pool, with Alpha7 Esports finishing second. São Paulo hosted the inaugural edition.
At ARCA in São Paulo, sixteen teams played 18 matches from 5 to 7 April 2024, with six matches on each day.
Seven regional champions entered directly, while eight more teams came through the Prelims and one through the open Qualifier.
Behind REJECT, Alpha7 Esports took $50,000 for second place and Vampire Esports took $30,000 for third, while every other finalist earned between $12,000 and $15,000.
Placement points followed a 10-6-5-4-3-2-1-1 scale with one point per finish, and the final order used total points, then chicken dinners, then placement points, then finishes as tiebreakers.
REJECT also earned a place at the PUBG Mobile World Cup 2024 as champions, and Reiji of REJECT was named the event MVP.
PMGO 2024 matches aired on the PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube channel.
