Welt's Winter Premier League crown
Overview
Welt Esports won the Winter Premier League 2025 on 11 December, taking ₹1,80,000 of the ₹4,00,000 prize pool (about $4,455 in the records' figures). Genesis Esports finished runners-up on ₹1,00,000 and Team Roman were third on ₹50,000. The event was organised by 4TR Official with TTFA Academy as sponsor; the Grand Finals ran 9–11 December with the full tournament spanning 1–11 December.
The tournament opened with 64 teams: the group stage on 1–3 December (four groups of 16, top 12 each to 48), quarter finals on 4–5 December (48 teams to 24), semi finals on 6–8 December (24 teams, round-robin to 16), and the Grand Finals on 9–11 December with 16 teams over 18 matches. Proton of Welt Esports was named MVP on ₹30,000; the fan-favourite player and team awards of ₹20,000 each were never recorded by name.
This was 4TR's first event series, launched with a quote from CEO Sidharth Agarwal. The field was deep for a C-tier: GodLike with Manya, Spower, Admino and JONATHAN, plus Gods Reign, Team XSpark, Blind Esports and iQOO Soul-linked lineups. A 4TR press release corroborates the podium and prize, though its 'tier-1' billing is not followed here; Liquipedia's Tier 4 stands.
The file is complete: the Welt win, the full podium, Proton's MVP award, the 64-team structure, and the prize split. Fan-favourite award winners were never published.
Welt Esports topped 4TR Official's first-ever event series and Genesis runners-up, in a deep field for a C-tier.
Twelve matches into the Grand Finals, the Day 2 leaderboard published by IndiaEsports had Welt Esports clear at the top on 130 points, from three chicken dinners, 57 placement points and 73 finishes. GodLike Esports held second on 114 with the lobby's highest finish count of 78, and Genesis Esports sat one point further back on 113, so the podium order was still live going into the final day.
How it went
