Genesis Esports are the clearest example, in the verified record, of a finalist who had to take the long road. At BGIS 2026 they were second on 169 points, and they outscored the champions on finishes: 120 finish points to Soul's 119. Soul's 54 position points against Genesis's 49 made the four-point difference. Two chicken dinners each. That final is on KRAFTON's own board.
BMSD did not hand them a direct week. In the semi-finals they were 10th on 116 points from Group A. Eighth was 121. They missed the direct cut and went to Last Chance, where they finished third on 95 points from 12 matches with one chicken dinner. Myth Official and Welt Esports were ahead of them. Wyld Fangs, on 90 with two chicken dinners, took the last place behind them. Third in Last Chance is a Grand Finals berth, earned in October rather than inherited from the BGIS silver.
Reports in mid-October described a late chicken dinner keeping Genesis alive in Last Chance. The confirmed figures are the table: 95 points, third, qualified.
Genesis Esports on this page is the Indian organisation, not the Myanmar team of the same name that disbanded in December 2024. Liquipedia keeps a separate page for the Indian side: it dates the organisation to 1 February 2023 and the BGMI division to 1 July 2023, lists Abhinav Rai as CEO and Pravesh Kumar as team manager from the founding date, and gives the team's Instagram handle as genesis_esports__. No head coach is published for the side.
At the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals in Hyderabad, Genesis finished 16th on 67 points across the 18 matches. The five who played the 2026 season for the side are Hunterz, Zap, GravityJOD, ViPER and FurY, the roster listed on this page.
Genesis Esports closed BGIS 2026 with an individual award to match the team silver. HunterZ took the overall MVP award after the Chennai final, while Gravity called the shots as the side's in-game leader in the BMSD 2026 roster TalkEsport published on 2 October 2026. The silver itself stayed four points away, but the MVP award gave Genesis a named winner from the same final.
For Genesis Esports, the verified current lineup is Hunterz, Zap, GravityJOD, ViPER and FurY.
