PMGC 2025: Alpha7 Esports win in Bangkok

The sixth Global Championship ran from 24 November to 14 December 2025 in Thailand, with a Gauntlet stage, a Group Stage and Grand Finals at Siam Paragon in Bangkok. Alpha7 Esports won the title.

A revamped four-stage format ran Gauntlet, Group Stage, Last Chance and Grand Finals, and Rondo replaced Sanhok as the third competitive map.

Behind Alpha7, ULF Esports finished second, with Alpha7 taking $555,000 from a $3,000,000 prize pool. Forty teams played the season.

Sixteen teams opened the event in the gauntlet at Imperial World Samrong, where eighteen matches sent the top seven straight to Bangkok and the rest into the group stage.

Thirty-two teams then played the group stage in two groups of sixteen, and the top three from each group joined the Bangkok final while places four to eleven went to a last chance round.

Two more finalists came from the last chance round, where sixteen teams played twelve matches across two days.

Bangkok hosted sixteen finalists in all, with seven from the gauntlet, six from the groups, two from the last chance round and one host country invite.

Four stage pots shared the prize money, with $429,000 for the gauntlet, $439,000 for each group, $93,000 for the last chance round and $1,600,000 for the Bangkok final.

Bangkok paid $500,000 to the champions as its first place prize, and Alpha7 finished the event with $555,000 once earlier stage money counted.

Scoring used the Points10 table, giving ten for a win and one for each finish, and the final day used a smash rule that set the target at 125 points.

Alpha7 closed the eighteen match final on 142 points, nine ahead of ULF Esports on 133, after no team at the smash target managed a closing win.
