PMWC 2026: S2G Esports win in Paris

The third World Cup moved to Paris, France, the first edition held outside Saudi Arabia, with 32 teams competing for a $3,025,000 prize pool. S2G Esports of Türkiye won the title, with Nongshim RedForce second and Aurora Gaming third.

S2G's win followed their PMGC 2022 title, making them the third different World Cup champion in three editions. Qzz of Tianba took the MVP award.

S2G took $555,000 from the prize pool, with Nongshim RedForce second on $293,000. Qzz's MVP award carried a $25,000 prize.

Thirty-two teams began in two groups of sixteen, with each group playing twelve matches from 6 to 9 August. The top five from each group went straight to the Grand Finals, places six to thirteen dropped to the Survival Stage, and the bottom three in each group went out.

The Survival Stage ran twelve matches on 11 and 12 August, with sixteen teams fighting for six Grand Finals places. The finals ran from 14 to 16 August with eighteen matches, and no team won a match after reaching the 122-point Smash Rule target, so the highest points total decided the title.

Prize money split across the three stages, with $1,148,000 for the Group Stage, $152,000 for the Survival Stage and $1,700,000 for the Grand Finals, plus a $25,000 Finals MVP award.

Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in Paris hosted all three stages from 6 to 16 August.

Regional points decided most of the field, with the defending champions Yangon Galacticos taking the invite as the 2025 winners.

Matches aired in English on the PUBG Mobile Esports channels, with regional broadcasts in MENA, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Myanmar, the Philippines, Korea, Japan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, CIS, Mongolia and Nepal.
