PMWI 2022 Afterparty: Vampire win again

Overview

The PMWI 2022 Afterparty Showdown took place in Riyadh from 18 to 20 August 2022, a week after the Main Tournament. Twelve teams played the event on PUBG Mobile's smaller maps, including Livik and Karakin.

The Afterparty trophy also went to Vampire Esports, completing a Riyadh double after the Main Tournament. The Afterparty carried $1,000,000 of the $3,000,000 combined PMWI 2022 prize pool.

Eighteen squad matches ran across three days, six per day, on a six map rotation of Erangel, Livik, Vikendi, Karakin, Sanhok and Miramar.

Five Main Tournament sides returned for the showdown, joined by six regional invitees and one special invite in R8 Esports.

Vampire Esports took $167,000 from the $1,000,000 pool, with Alpha7 second on $148,000 and Team Falcons third on $109,000.

Gamers8 staged the offline showdown at Riyadh Boulevard, with KRAFTON, Tencent Games and ESL as co-organisers.

A two player showmatch ran beside the main event, with five Sanhok and Livik matches and Stalwart Esports on top with 37 points.

PMWI AP 2022 matches aired on the PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube channel.
