UMumba eSports bought the PMIT-winning Revenge roster

UMumba eSports entered PUBG Mobile in January 2020 with three trial lineups and settled on Destro, Bhishma as IGL, KikiOP, 420OP and Goldblade. After a disappointing PMPL run, the organisation released the whole roster and started over, refusing to step back from competition.

The restart came through an acquisition: U Mumba bought Team Revenge, the much-appreciated underdogs who had won the PUBG Mobile India Tour 2019 and its fifty lakh rupee prize. The new lineup of RVNG Akshay, RVNG Akshat, RVNG Sonic and RVNG FinalBoss got a boot camp and full backing to rediscover the form that had made them champions.

The acquired core reached the PMPL South Asia Season 1 finals, finishing ninth on 116 points, and was invited to the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020. The Revenge name later continued on its own, winning the ESPL Season 2 invitational qualifier in 2022, while the U Mumba chapter remains the organisation's main esports footprint. The PUBG Mobile division closed on 10 September 2020.

UMumba eSports finished fourth at the PUBG Mobile India Series 2020 Grand Finals on 5 July 2020, scoring 115 points from 65 placement points and 50 finish points with no chicken dinner. The fourth place paid Rs 2,50,000 from the fifty lakh prize pool, and it stands as the side's best published finish after the ninth place at the PMPL South Asia Season 1 finals.
