Elite Nova Esports missed the BMSD Grand Finals by the width of a tie-break, not by a collapsed total. Last Chance put them fifth on 90 points from 12 matches, with one chicken dinner. Wyld Fangs, fourth, also had 90 and had two chicken dinners. Team Tamilas, sixth, also had 90 and one chicken dinner. The first tie-break is chicken dinners, which explains why Wyld are in Hyderabad and Elite Nova are not. It does not, by itself, explain why Elite Nova sit above Tamilas, because that next step depends on placement points, and those columns were printed in opposite directions by two outlets. The places are kept. The split is not.
The semi-finals had already been a long way from the cut. Elite Nova were 20th on 78 points in Group C. Twentieth of 24 is why they were in Last Chance at all. Turning that into 90 points and a one-place miss is a recovery, and it is still an elimination. They do not appear on the BGIS 2026 top 16, so no series finish is added to fill the page. With the final field closed, Elite Nova have no BMSD path left into BMIC or the PMGC match.
The Last Chance run had begun with a statement in the qualifiers. TalkEsport's report of Week 2 Day 2 has Elite Nova topping their group with 79 points, 42 of them finishes, and three chicken dinners, the most by any side in that group on the day, with Owais's calling singled out. TalkEsport's team wiki lists the BMSD 2026 roster as Owais as IGL, Venom, ScaryJOD and Mafia as assaulters, and Paritosh.
For Elite Nova Esports, the verified current lineup is Owais, Venom, ScaryJOD, Mafia and Paritosh.
