BMSD 2026: Team SouL are the champions
Overview
BMSD 2026 is KRAFTON India's invite tournament for 48 teams, played from 22 September to 18 October 2026. The online stages decided a 16-team LAN at Savaaya Convention, Gandipet, Hyderabad. Team SouL won the Grand Finals with 155 points to take the title.
Invites were tied to the KIE leaderboard plus results from BGIS 2026 and BMPS 2026, which is why this event has no open registration. The champion goes to PMGC 2026. The top six go to the BGMI International Cup in Mumbai from 30 October to 1 November. Those international places are the reason a mid-table Grand Finals finish still matters.
Four teams never had to play the semi-finals. Meta Ninza, Team 8Bit, Revenant XSpark and Blitz Epigrotive Gaming were the top four of Week 3 in Group A and went straight to the final. Eight more came out of the semi-finals, led by Team Apex Gaming on 152 points. The last four, Myth Official, Welt Esports, Genesis Esports and Wyld Fangs, survived Last Chance. Orangutan, third at BGIS 2026 and the defending champions from BMSD 2025, did not.
Scoring is placement points plus one point per elimination. First place in a match is worth 10, second 6, third 5, fourth 4, fifth 3, sixth 2, and seventh or eighth 1. Ninth through sixteenth score nothing for placement. Ties break on chicken dinners, then placement points, then eliminations, then the latest match. That order is why the three-way tie on 90 points in Last Chance could be settled without a playoff, even though this page does not print the disputed finish split for that stage.
BMSD 2026 closed under the Smash Rule on the final day in Hyderabad. After twelve matches, ten points were added to the leader's total to set the match-point target. Four sides reached match-point eligibility, but none won another match, so the title stayed with the points leader at the end of the eighteenth match. Team SouL finished on 155 points, with 103 of them from finishes, the highest finish total in the lobby.
What to watch
Apex's 152 did not travel to Hyderabad. Every finalist started on zero on 16 October. Eight of them had already played a semi-final, four came through Last Chance in two days, and four had been waiting since Week 3. Day 3 could ignore a fat total, because the Smash Rule wanted a chicken dinner after the target, not just the highest number.

The qualifiers ran from 22 to 30 September with 48 invited teams divided into three groups of 16. Each team played 18 matches across three weeks, six per week. A promotion and relegation system applied after each of the first two weeks: the top four from Groups B and C moved up a group, while the bottom four from Groups A and B dropped down. Week 3 results seeded every later stage.
Sixteen teams reached Upper Bracket Survival, played from 1 to 3 October over three matchdays with 18 matches each. The top eight advanced to the semi-finals, while the bottom eight dropped into Lower Bracket Survival.
Lower Bracket Survival ran from 4 to 6 October with 16 teams playing 18 matches across three days. The top four moved on to the semi-finals, and the rest were eliminated.
The semi-finals took place from 8 to 11 October with 24 teams split into three groups of eight in a double round-robin. Each team played 16 matches. The top eight reached the Grand Finals, while the bottom 16 fell to the Last Chance stage.
Last Chance, played on 12 and 13 October, gave 16 teams 12 matches, six per day, to claim the last four Grand Finals slots.
Hyderabad hosted the Grand Finals from 16 to 18 October at the Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad with 16 teams playing 18 matches, six per day. The Smash Rule applied with a 126-point target. Team SouL finished top on 155 points to lift the title, with Gladiators Esports second on 141.
Smash Rule
Days 1 and 2, 16 and 17 October, are ordinary point days. Twelve matches were on the board when Day 2 ended.
The Smash Rule was in effect on 18 October. After match 12, the organisers add 10 points to whatever the leader has. That sum is the match-point target. A team that reaches it becomes eligible. Eligibility does not win the event. The team still has to take a chicken dinner in a later match. The first eligible team to do that is the champion, even if another side has more points. If nobody eligible wins a match by game 18, the highest total after 18 matches wins.

FAQ
Where to watch BMSD 2026?
KRAFTON India Esports is the broadcast channel stored for BMSD. No Grand Finals video id has been verified, so the button opens that channel instead of a specific upload. The first Hyderabad drop is 2:40 PM IST on 16 October 2026.
Who won BMSD 2026?
Team SouL won BMSD 2026 with 155 points from 18 Grand Finals matches in Hyderabad. Gladiators Esports finished runners-up on 141 points and iQOO 8Bit took third on 140. No Match Point team won a chicken dinner on Day 3, so the title went to the points leader. SouL also qualified for the PMGC 2026 Gauntlet, and the top six qualified for BMIC 2026.
What is the BMSD 2026 prize pool?
The published pool is ₹1 crore. The champion takes ₹30 lakh plus the PMGC 2026 place, second ₹15 lakh, third ₹10 lakh, down to ₹1.25 lakh for 15th and 16th. Five individual awards sit on top: the ₹2 lakh Google Play MVP (TalkEsport calls it the Tournament MVP), the ₹1 lakh Finals MVP, Best IGL at ₹75,000, and Best Clutch and Grenadier at ₹50,000 each. The full table is on this page.
What is the BMSD points system?
A match pays 10, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, then 1 for seventh and 1 for eighth, and nothing for ninth through sixteenth, plus one point per elimination. Day 3 adds the Smash Rule after 12 matches.
What time do the BMSD Grand Finals start?
Timetables disagree. Sportsdunia's 15 October schedule puts match 1 at 2:40 PM IST; Sportskeeda's 14 October article put it at 1:30 PM IST with the broadcast opening around 1:00 PM. The KRAFTON India Esports YouTube channel carries Hindi and English feeds. This page's schedule table uses 2:40 PM and notes the conflict.
How was the three-way tie at 90 points settled?
Chicken dinners first. Wyld Fangs had two, Elite Nova Esports and Team Tamilas one each, so Wyld Fangs took fourth and the last Grand Finals place.
Who is BGMI's all-time finish leader?
Goblin, on 932 finishes from 560 matches per eSportStats' Official Player HitBoard, reported by TalkEsport on 9 October 2026. Jonathan is second on 902 from 563: 30 more ties the record, 31 takes it outright. Fierce (840), Spraygod (779) and Admino (775) complete the published top five.

Shubh of Team 8Bit was named Tournament MVP, and Legit of Team SouL took both Finals MVP and Grenadier. Areeb of Blitz Epigrotive Gaming was Best IGL, Harsh of Team Apex Gaming took Best Clutch, and Taurus of K9 Esports was The Eliminator.
