BGMS Season 5 ended with Nebula surviving match point

BGMI Masters Series Season 5 is NODWIN Gaming's 2026 edition of the Masters Series, the league built for broadcast rather than open qualification. Three weeks of competition closed with an 18-match Grand Finals at the NODWIN Gaming Arena in Delhi NCR from 4 to 6 September 2026, six matches a day. The published prize pool was above ₹1 crore. NODWIN reported more than 26 million views, 11 million watch hours and a peak of 430,000 concurrent viewers including watch parties.

Nebula Esports won on 210 points with 116 finishes and four chicken dinners. It was the organisation's first major trophy, and the fifth BGMS appearance for IGL Aadi. The winning five were Aadi, KnowMe, Phoenix, Kratos and Arjun. Nebula took ₹40 lakh. Gladiators Esports were second on 189 for ₹15 lakh, and iQOO Orangutan third on 187 for ₹6 lakh.

Day 3 used the Smash Rule with a match-point target of the leader's 12-match total plus 20, which set the number at 204. Nebula crossed 204 in match 17 but could not turn it into a chicken dinner in the last match, and no other eligible side won one either, so the standings decided the title. The rest of the order: Rapid Chaos 170, Apex 163, Reckoning 153, Team Tamilas and Soul level on 136, Genesis 135, Revenant XSpark 131, Team 8Bit 126, Elite Nova 120, 7Gods 116, Team Outrage 102, Wyld Fangs 93 and Myth Official 84.

The individual honours went to the finals' two standout performers. Yash 'KNOWME' Negi of Nebula was the season MVP with 37 finishes across the Grand Finals. Mohammed Kaif Gulhamid Khan, HUNTERZ of Genesis Esports, was the Most Wicked Player with 249 eliminations across the whole tournament, the highest finish count in the published reports. Both took home a TVS Raider bike with their trophies.

League play ran for twenty-one matchdays before the finals, 126 matches in total across three League Weeks, the Bounty Weekend and two Super Weekends. League Week 2, the phase the early format summaries left blank, ran 24 matches over four days, and the Playoffs after Super Weekend 2 ran 18 matches to send ten teams into the Grand Finals.

Nebula won without winning the last day. Crossing match point in game 17 meant nothing without the chicken dinner, and nobody else converted either.

The 204 target came from the rule, not the table: the leader's total after 12 matches plus 20.
