Jelly calls the shots for the BMSD semi-final winners
Gunjan Thakur, known as Jelly, is the in-game leader of Team Apex Gaming. He fronted the side's first roster on 29 April 2026: himself calling, Jonathan as assaulter, with Hydro, KioLmao and Harsh, the core that had been True Rippers. Before that he was GodLike Esports' IGL in 2023 and 2024, playing alongside Jonathan.
The calling card is the BMSD 2026 semi-finals. Team Apex Gaming topped the stage on 152 points with two chicken dinners and 103 eliminations from 16 matches, played 8 to 11 October. SportsDigest's finals preview noted the arc: an average qualifiers run, then a comeback to finish first in the semis.
The True Rippers core he led finished second at the BGMI International Cup, represented India at PMGC, reached the podium at the Chennai Esports Global Championship 2025 and placed fifth at BGIS 2025. Those results travelled with the five players to the new organisation in April.
At the Hyderabad finals that followed in October 2026, Team Apex Gaming placed tenth in the BMSD 2026 Grand Finals. No all-time finish total is published for Jelly in the eSportStats leaderboard that tracks Jonathan's record chase, so this page does not place him in that race.
