BGIS 2024 ended with Team XSpark's Hyderabad win

Overview

Team XSpark closed out the 2024 season's biggest open tournament at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, winning BGIS 2024 on June 30. The Grand Finals ran from June 28 to 30 with sixteen teams playing eighteen matches in front of more than five thousand spectators, the first BGIS LAN final the city had hosted. XSpark scored one hundred forty two points and took sixty lakh rupees from a two crore pool.

Global Esports finished second on one hundred thirty four points and thirty lakh, but their player NinjaBoi swept the individual honours: MVP, most finishes and the Rampage award, earning four and a half lakh across the three. Reckoning Esports made a late charge on the final day to take third on one hundred thirty two points. The event began back in April with more than five lakh registrations, making it the largest battle royale tournament India had seen.

The closing ceremony belonged to a guest from another sport. Olympic champion Abhinav Bindra attended the final day, and KRAFTON donated twenty five lakh rupees from Elite pass sales to the Abhinav Bindra Foundation. KRAFTON also used the occasion to announce BMPS 2024, which would head to Kochi in September.

Robin of MOGO Esports collected the Lone Survivor prize of one lakh rupees, and the four individual awards took the published split to the full two crore pool.

BGIS 2024 champions Team XSpark fielded NinjaJOD, SPRAYGOD, Sarang and Shadow7 in the Hyderabad final, with Osmium listed as coach on the semi-final team card. The four played the final as a settled unit after coming through the semi-finals together.
