Ranbhoomi Season 2 ended with 8Bit beating Blind on a tie-break

Ranbhoomi Season 2 was an Upthrust Esports BGMI tournament played from 4 to 13 July 2023. Twenty-four teams entered through qualifiers and invitations, and the Grand Finals stretched across four days.

The title race became one of the closest on the Indian circuit that year. 8Bit and Blind Esports both finished on 197 points, and the trophy went to 8Bit on position points after the final match. Gladiators Esports took third on 193.

Beast of 8Bit was named the MVP after 37 eliminations in 24 matches, one ahead of Soul Akshat and God's Reign Ninja on 36 each. The winner's cheque was ₹7,00,000 from a ₹13,00,000 pool, with Blind taking ₹2,50,000 for second.

Team Soul finished fourth on 175 and Numen fifth on 164, while Chemin, Entity, Revenant, God's Reign and iNSANE rounded out a top ten full of familiar names. The event marked 8Bit's biggest BGMI title of the 2023 season and left Blind as the nearly-men of the summer, beaten by the tie-break.

Ranbhoomi Season 2 distributed its Rs 13,00,000 pool as Rs 7,00,000 to 8Bit, Rs 2,50,000 to Blind Esports, Rs 2,00,000 to Gladiators Esports, Rs 1,00,000 to Team SouL and Rs 50,000 to Numen Esports. The five placed cheques sum to Rs 13,00,000, matching the published pool, and Beast of 8Bit added the Rs 50,000 MVP cheque to the winners prize after 37 eliminations in 24 matches.

Blind matched 8Bit point for point across four days of finals and still lost the trophy, which tells the story of the tie-break.

The 197-197 finish remains one of the tightest title races in Indian third-party BGMI.
