Skyesports Pro League 2022 BGMI title won by Chemin Esports
Overview
The AMD Skyesports Pro League was a multi-title event whose BGMI segment ran from 9 to 18 March 2022, and the BGMI competition was won by Chemin Esports.
The league was presented by AMD and powered by Rooter, with a ₹10,00,000 prize pool for the BGMI title. The top 24 teams from the Skyesports Grand Slam were invited, and Team XO had won that qualifier event.
It was a landmark broadcast: the first Indian tournament shown in nine languages, with Rooter carrying Hindi, English, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi and Telugu feeds.
The semifinals began on 9 March with three groups of eight, featuring GodLike, Team XO, Soul, TSM, Skylightz, XSpark, Orangutan, Entity and Enigma among others. Chemin's title was the high point of their 2022 and remains the best-known result in the organisation's history. The league's three-group semifinal format became a template that later Skyesports events reused, and the Rooter broadcast deal showed where Indian esports production was heading.
Chemin Esports Pro League 2022 winning line reads 249 points from 159 placement points and 90 finishes, with five chicken dinners. Enigma Gaming finished second on 201 points, 48 behind, while Orangutan took third on 175, one point ahead of Team Forever on 174. Walkouts followed on 173 and Entity Gaming on 166, so the fight for third place was decided by two points across three teams.
How it went
Chemin came through a 24-team field drawn from the Grand Slam qualifiers.
The nine-language broadcast set a production benchmark for Indian third-party events.

The Pro League ran in two stages: Semi-Finals from 9 to 12 March 2022 for 24 invited teams in three groups, then Finals from 13 to 18 March 2022 for the top 16 across 25 matches.
