BMPS Season 1 ended with Team SouL's dominant online win

Overview

Team SouL claimed the first ever Battlegrounds Mobile India Pro Series, an online tournament that ran from May 19 to June 12, 2022. The Grand Finals were played over four days and twenty four matches, and SouL were never threatened: three hundred thirty five points, five chicken dinners and eighty five points clear of second placed OR Esports. The champions took seventy five lakh rupees from a two crore pool.

OR Esports finished second on two hundred fifty points and thirty five lakh, with Enigma Gaming third on twenty lakh. The individual awards were a SouL sweep. Harsh Goblin Paudwal was named MVP with seventy one finishes and also took the Rampage Freak award, Akshat took the Lone Survivor award, and the side won Fan Favourite Team. Eggy of Enigma was the player of the day on day one; Goblin took the honour on each of the other three days.

The roster was led by Sahil Omega Jhakar with Sohail Hector Shaikh, Akshat and Goblin, coached by Amit Dubey and Aman Jain, with Mortal and Viper as substitutes. The title was SouL's first in BGMI and ended a long wait for the country's most followed side. It also booked them a place at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022.

Team SouL's three hundred thirty five points beat OR Esports' two hundred fifty by eighty five, across four days online and twenty four matches.

BMPS Season 1 began with 24 teams that had qualified through BMOC 2022, split into three groups for the league stage. The top sixteen reached the Grand Finals, where a match win paid fifteen points and each finish paid one point.
