TSM's first OR Championship Legends Rise title

TSM closed out the OR Championship Legends Rise on 22 August 2021 with 145 points, beating Team TapaTap (124) to the ₹2,00,000 prize pool (about $2,692 in the records’s figures). Team XO finished third on 108 points, with Coming Soon fourth on 106. The three-day online invitational ran 20–22 August with 16 teams, organised by OREsports as the second iteration of their BGMI invitational.

The format packed 10 matches into three days: three on Friday, three on Saturday and four on the final Sunday, all TPP squads across Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. Each finish was worth a point, with placement points running 15 for a win down to a single point for 8th–12th. That structure rewarded the teams that kept landing in the top five rather than the ones chasing kills alone.

TSM barely showed on day one, managing only 21 points, then found their range with 56 on day two before a dominant 68-point Sunday sealed it. Their four of SHADOW, AquaNox, Blaze and NinjaJOD peaked exactly when the extra final-day match gave the field one more swing. TapaTap did the reverse: a 51-point Friday had them top early, but 40 and 33 across the next two days left them 21 short.

The top-fragger race went to TapaTap’s JONATHAN, whose 28 finishes in nine matches were the most of the event, while TSM’s AquaNox managed 20 and OREsports’ Aditya 19. Team SouL’s weekend collapsed before it began: they missed their day-two matches entirely and finished last of the 16 on 13 points. Hosts OREsports themselves took fifth on 104.

Verified: the TSM win, the 145–124 margin, the dates, the format and the fragger table, all via Liquipedia’s event page, which also publishes the full prize split: ₹1,25,000 to TSM, ₹50,000 to Team TapaTap and ₹25,000 to Team XO. Hindi commentary came from Ocean Sharma and Spero (Piyush Bhatla). AquaNox collected a second hardware award as Best Clutch, a Zebronics mini keypad and mouse, alongside his MVP headset and mouse.

JONATHAN was the best slayer in the lobby with 28 finishes, yet his Team TapaTap still finished 21 points behind TSM. Sometimes the MVP race and the trophy race are two different tournaments.
