TSM's OR Championship Legends Rise title

On 20 February 2022, TSM won the OR Championship Legends Rise, scoring 189 points with 86 kills to take ₹2,00,000 of the ₹5,00,000 prize pool (about $6,695 in the records' figures). Team Soul finished runners-up with 183 points and 96 kills on ₹1,00,000, losing despite out-killing the champions, while Hyderabad Hydras were third on ₹50,000 and Team Insane fourth on ₹50,000. The five-day invitational was organised by OREsports, sponsored by KFC and Zebronics.

The 16-team field mixed 10 teams from BGIS 2021 with 6 invited sides, playing 15 matches across Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok. TSM also collected the Chicken Dinner Champion bonus of ₹1,00,000 for the most WWCDs, underlining how placement points decided the title. NinjaJOD of TSM was named MVP on ₹50,000, and Soul Akshat finished as the top fragger with 37 kills.

This was the third iteration of the OR Championship series, and the prize pool had grown 150 percent over the previous edition, a sign of how fast early-BGMI third-party events were scaling. The Soul-TSM gap of just six points made it one of the closest finishes of the 2022 C-tier calendar.

The facts that hold up: TSM's 189-point win, Soul's 183-point runner-up finish, the Hyderabad Hydras and Team Insane podium places, NinjaJOD's MVP award, the dates, and the prize split. Dollar figures follow the records since Liquipedia publishes only INR.

OR Esports finished fifth in the OR Championship Legends Rise 2022 standings on 125 points, ahead of Orangutan on 119 and Enigma Gaming on 114. Velocity Gaming and Godlike Academy tied on 106 points in eighth and ninth, Team XO closed the top ten on 102, and GodLike Esports finished a distant fifteenth on 46 points despite entering as one of the biggest names in the field.

Soul out-killed the champions yet lost: TSM's three chicken dinners were worth more than 96 kills, a textbook lesson in placement over frags.
