APL Winter Showdown Season 2: OMEGA's 194-point win

The APL Winter Showdown Season 2 ran from 21 to 27 December 2023 with a $14,425 prize pool, and TEAM OMEGA won it on 194 points. SportsAdda published the points table and latest standings for the event, which is the verified record this page follows. One hundred ninety-four points across a week-long showdown is a commanding total, and it made December 2023 one of Omega's best months on record.

The result sits directly beside the TWOB Winter Invitational title Omega won days later, closing on 6 January 2024. Two winter trophies in the space of ten days turned the end of 2023 into the peak of the independent TEAM OMEGA era, the organisation would sign with WSB Gaming ahead of BMPS 2024, per SportsTiger. This page records the APL title as the first half of that double.

Liquipedia's team card records the champion roster as Omega, Hector, AkshaT, Neyo and NinjaJOD. Team Soul released that roster on 23 December, midway through the event, and the five finished the showdown under the Omega name, with NinjaJOD also taking the event MVP award.

APL Winter Showdown Season 2 reached its grand finals through semi-finals from 21 to 24 December 2023 with 24 teams in three groups of eight, with the top 16 advancing to grand finals from 25 to 27 December over 18 matches.

WSB Gaming finished second in APL Winter Showdown Season 2 on Rs 3,00,000, ahead of Global Esports in third on Rs 2,00,000, Revenant Esports in fourth on Rs 1,00,000 and Big Brother Esports in fifth on Rs 50,000. NinjaJOD of Team Omega took the event MVP award on Rs 50,000.

OMEGA took the title on 194 points over seven days in late December 2023. It was the first of two winter titles in ten days for the roster.
