BGIS 2023 The Grind seeded 64 BGMI teams to the main event
BGIS 2023 The Grind ran from July 20 to August 20, 2023 as the seeding event for the BGIS 2023 main event. KRAFTON ran the online qualifier with iQOO as backer, and 256 invited teams played for places in the main event rounds rather than prize money.
Round 1 played two weeks of group play, with 128 teams per week in eight groups of 16 playing three matches each. The top eight per group moved on each week, and 64 teams reached Round 2. Round 2 played two more weeks of group play, and Round 3 brought 64 teams together in a round-robin from August 17 to 20.
The top 32 teams from Round 3 entered the BGIS 2023 Main Event Round 3, led by Chemin Esports, CS Esports, Hyderabad Hydras, Growing Strong and Team SouL. The bottom 32 entered Main Event Round 2, led by Genesis Esports, Revenant Esports and 4 Aggresive Man.
