8Bit's inaugural THUG Invitational crown

On 15 August 2021, 8Bit won the THUG Invitational Season 1 with 105 points, taking ₹80,000 of the ₹2,00,000 prize pool (about $2,695 in the records' figures). The runners-up position is marked TBA here: Liquipedia's second-place row literally prints Coming Soon on 79 points and ₹60,000, which is a placeholder rather than a team name, and it is not published as one. IYD x Team Tamilas were third on 71 points and ₹40,000, with REVENGE ESPORTS fourth on 71 behind on tiebreak. The event was organised by THUG (The Hungry Gamers) with Villager Esports and sponsored by LOCO, running 14–15 August with 20 teams, Squads TPP, online in India, graded C-tier.

The format was 6 matches over two days on Erangel, Miramar and Sanhok, with a point per finish and placement 15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1-0. AkshaT of 8Bit was named MVP, with the ₹20,000 award published in Liquipedia's prize pool; the winning roster was AkshaT, Akshu, Omega and DeltaPG. The placeholder runners-up row carries a roster of Ash, Believe, Fiction and Drigger with coach Vedzz, the same names as the Orangutan core that won Battle For Revolution Season 1 two years later, suggesting an unannounced or embryonic Orangutan lineup under a placeholder tag. Team TapaTap's roster included ZGOD, JONATHAN, Neyoo and ClutchGod, the future GodLike core, and Team SouL finished 18th.

Hindi commentary came from K18 and RA1. Only the top three were paid. Verified via Liquipedia: the 8Bit win, the third place, the MVP, the dates, the format, and the prize split. The runners-up identity remains unverified.

Two pairs of teams tied the THUG Invitational Season 1 final table, with IYD x Team Tamilas and Revenge Esports sharing third place on 71 points each. Team XO and 7Sea Esports shared fifth place on 55 points each, while TSM finished eighth on 41 and Skylightz Gaming ninth on 40.

THUG Season 1 lower order placed Team SouL eighteenth on 15 points and Global Esports twentieth on 11 points, at the opposite end from the title race. Team Tapatap finished sixteenth on 21 points, level with OREsports, while Red Owl Gaming took nineteenth on 14 points.

8Bit took the inaugural THUG Invitational while the second-place row on Liquipedia reads only 'Coming Soon'.
