Osmium, BGMI coach from XSpark to Meta Ninza

Rahul Sharma, known as Osmium, is an Indian BGMI coach whose career runs from an analyst's desk at 7Sea Esports to the biggest titles of the 2024 season. Liquipedia's infobox records his birth date as 16 July 1997, lists his role as coach, and carries the same social handles this page has always used.

His recorded start came on 5 June 2021, when he joined 7Sea Esports as an analyst. He moved up to coach that September and stayed until June 2023. The stint peaked with the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown title in July 2022, and it also took in fifth place at BGIS 2021, fourth at the LOCO Diwali Battle grand finals and a runners-up finish with the 7Sea GSM side at the PUBG Mobile National Championship Bangladesh in 2021.

A short Marcos Gaming chapter followed in July 2023, ending with a twelfth place at BGMS Season 2. Six months later, on 7 January 2024, Team XSpark presented him as the coach of its new BGMI roster, the move that defined his career.

The XSpark project delivered immediately. The side won BGIS 2024 in Hyderabad and then the BMPS 2024 title in Kochi, becoming the only team of that era to hold both official LAN trophies in one year, a run the organisation later retold in its own documentary films. When the PMGC 2024 invite went elsewhere, Osmium was the squad's public voice, arguing that some deeper reason kept Indian teams away from international slots.

The merged Revenant XSpark said farewell to him on 15 August 2025. A brief Team Versatile stop ran into October 2025, and Meta Ninza then announced him as head coach on 22 October 2025, calling him the mastermind the rebuilt squad needed.

Meta Ninza released the whole roster, coach included, on 2 July 2026, after twelfth place at BGIS 2026 and a BMPS 2026 campaign the club called inconsistent. The same core returned for BMSD 2026, Osmium's second stint began on 21 September 2026, and the side finished ninth at the Hyderabad finals that October.

Few Indian coaches can match that arc. Three organisations, two separate spells at his current club, and a trophy cabinet holding the 2022 Showdown and the 2024 double make Osmium one of the most decorated backroom figures of the BGMI era, and his playing background stays unpublished because his recorded career has only ever been a coaching one.
