7Sea Esports won the official BMSD 2022 LAN in Delhi
Overview
Delhi hosted the first official BGMI LAN in July 2022, with the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown running July 21 to 24. Twenty four teams entered the qualifiers and sixteen reached the one-day Grand Final, which packed six matches across three maps into a single day. The prize pool was fifteen lakh rupees.
7Sea Esports won with 92 points after a last-match turnaround that decided the title. Orangutan had led by seventeen points going into the final game and held the table since the early matches, but finished the decider in sixth place with no kills. 7Sea took the chicken dinner with fifteen finishes, a thirty-point game that lifted them nine clear of Orangutan's 83.
The win earned 7Sea five lakh rupees and India's slot at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational 2022 Afterparty in Riyadh. Orangutan took two and a half lakh rupees for second, and Enigma Gaming took one lakh for third on 65 points. Skylightz Gaming finished fourth on 63 and Team XO fifth on 55.
SprayGod of 7Sea was named Grand Finals MVP for fifteen finishes and collected fifty thousand rupees, with Fierce taking the Grenadier award and Drigger the Longest Finish award. GodLike and TSM both ended on 24 points in fourteenth and fifteenth in a poor showing for the two favourites.
