BMSD 2025 ended with Orangutan's Hyderabad title

Overview

Hyderabad hosted the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2025, which began on September 18 and closed on October 12. Forty eight teams entered, and sixteen reached the three day finale in a live studio arena. The prize pool was one crore rupees, listed at 112,674 dollars.

Orangutan won the title and took thirty lakh rupees. K9 Esports finished second and collected fifteen lakh, while Team SouL took third and ten lakh. The top eight teams qualified for the BGMI International Cup, where they would face squads from Korea and Japan, and the champions earned a direct slot at the season's Global Championship.

The individual awards were shared across three teams. NinjaBoi of K9 was named tournament MVP and earned two lakh rupees. SnowJOD took both the Finals MVP and the Best Clutch award, while Orangutan's Aaru was named Best IGL. Jonathan was voted Fan Favourite Player by the community.

The 2025 Showdown is a separate event from the 2026 edition, whose Grand Finals are scheduled for October 16 to 18, 2026 at the Savaaya Convention in Hyderabad and are covered on their own page.

One further honour at Hyderabad was settled by the fans themselves. GodLike Esports' JONATHAN was voted Fan Fav. Player of the Showdown and took Rs 50,000, an award Liquipedia's prize listing records alongside the MVP honours.
