Entity Gaming's final-day surge sealed the 2024 Snapdragon title

Overview

The ESL Snapdragon Pro Series 2024 Grand Finals closed on 18 February 2024 at the Noida Indoor Stadium, with Entity Gaming taking the title. The event had opened on 12 January with 32 teams, and sixteen reached the three-day LAN final. Entity were only seventh after two days, then produced two chicken dinners on the final day to finish on 189 points from 18 matches, with 87 finishes and 102 placement points. The title was worth Rs 28,17,500 from a one-crore pool. The Saumraj-led roster was Saumraj, GamlaBoy, Pukar, Troye and RonaK.

Team SouL led going into the last match but an early exit dropped them to second on 171 points, worth Rs 11,97,500, without a single chicken dinner. Chemin Esports rode back-to-back final-day dinners to third on 170 points and Rs 7,85,000, one ahead of Carnival Gaming on 169. Orangutan finished fifth on 162, followed by Revenant on 159, OR Esports on 156, Team Forever on 136, Global Esports and Blind Esports on 135 each, Team iFlicks on 125, Hydra on 106, WSB Gaming on 95, Gods Reign on 90, Gujarat Tigers on 79 and GENxFM Esports on 53.

The individual honours were shared around. GamlaBoy was Entity's sharpest weapon with 33 kills, the second-highest tally of the finals, while captain Saumraj's rotations were credited for the comeback. The MVP award went to Orangutan's AKop, whose 34 eliminations topped every player at the event and earned a fifty thousand rupee bonus. The final map drew a peak of over two hundred ten thousand concurrent viewers, with three point six million hours watched across the event, which made it one of the most-watched BGMI tournaments of the year.

Thirty two teams entered; sixteen reached a three-day LAN Grand Finals of 18 matches, where Entity's 189 beat Team SouL's 171.

ESL Snapdragon Pro Series 2024 began with a 2048 team Conquest Open in December 2023, and eight sides from that open path joined 24 invited teams in the 32 team Challenge Season. The Challenge Season ran 72 matches over 12 matchdays before the top 16 advanced to the Noida finals.
