Rivalry's OG Starter Cup title

Overview

On 4 October 2021, Rivalry Esports won the OG Starter Cup, taking ₹50,000 of the ₹1,00,000 prize pool (about $1,341 in the records' figures). Orangutan finished runners-up on ₹30,000 and Team Soul were third on ₹20,000. The event was organised by OG Esports, a domestic org unrelated to the international OG organisation, with 1M x Challenger Esports as sponsor; the finals ran 3–4 October with the full event spanning 1 September to 5 October.

The bracket was among 2021's largest: 2,000 teams in pre-qualifiers across 100 groups, narrowing through 1,000, 380 and 90 (76 qualified plus 14 invited) to the finals. Marcos Gaming were fourth, Team XO fifth and Galaxy Racer sixth. The broadcast ran on the 1M Officials YouTube channel, the sponsor's channel.

No MVP was named and no final points table was published. The organiser's name is a coincidence: this OG Esports has no connection to the Dota-famous OG.

Verified throughout: the Rivalry win, the full podium, the dates, and the prize split. No MVP was ever published for this edition.

OG Starter Cup finals field of twenty one teams is recorded on this page, with Rivalry Esports winning on 116 points. OG Starter Cup broadcast team featured Hindi commentators Darshita, Boss JP, HomeShow, Cronos and Shuban Murthy.
