OS Invitational Season 1 won by Team Soul in September 2023
Overview
The BGMI OS Invitational Season 1 was organised by Omega Slayers and ran from 4 to 27 September 2023 in two phases: a six-day semifinal stage and a six-day Grand Finals.
Soul took the title. Akshat was the top individual performer with 38 eliminations and collected ₹50,000 for the honour.
Velocity Gaming, led by Punk, finished second with 339 points and 123 kills for ₹3,00,000. Entity Gaming missed second by four points, taking third on 335 for ₹2,00,000.
Chemin Esports were fourth on 292 points for ₹1,00,000, followed by Reckoning, Enigma, GodLike, Global Esports and Team Insane. Orangutan ended 14th and Team XSpark last of the 16 finalists. The ₹12,00,000 pool made it one of the richer third-party events of September 2023, and Soul's win was their second big trophy in a fortnight. The Omega Slayers production ran smoothly across both phases, and the six-day finals gave underdogs room to challenge the favourites.
OS Invitational Season 1 Grand Finals standings: Team Soul won on 430 points, a margin of 91 over Velocity Gaming on 339. Reckoning Esports finished fifth on 290, six points behind Chemin Esports on 292, while Enigma Gaming took sixth on 276 and Team GodLike seventh on 271. Global Esports finished ninth on 248, Team Insane tenth on 239, and Orangutan fourteenth on 187, ahead of Hyderabad Hydras on 178 and Team XSpark last on 173.
