Ankit Shukla, known as AK and AKop, plays BGMI for Orangutan

Ankit Shukla competes as AK for Orangutan in the Indian BGMI circuit, and also appears under the name AKop; Liquipedia lists AKop as his alternate ID. He has been on the organisation's books since October 2021, with a return to the active roster on 17 December 2023 alongside teammate WizzGOD after a loan spell. The published roster data attaches no role to his name.

Orangutan's published results during his time on the roster include the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2025 title, played from 18 September to 12 October 2025, and the iQOO Battlegrounds Series title from 21 July to 10 August 2025. The squad also won the Upthrust Esports Patriot Cup, held from 23 to 31 January 2024, and finished runner-up at Clash of Champions Season 2 in July 2025 and at Upthrust Esports India Rising 2024 in March 2024. In October 2026 the squad finished ninth in the BMSD 2026 Last Chance with 79 points, missing the Grand Finals. All of these are squad results attributed to Orangutan as a team.

His individual record is the strongest on the Orangutan roster. At BGMS Season 3 in August 2024, Sportskeeda named him MVP after 67 finishes, with Orangutan fifth overall and a ₹1 lakh award for him. A year later he was MVP of the iQOO Battlegrounds Series 2025 finals with 62 finishes across 18 matches as Orangutan took the title on 217 points, worth ₹2 lakh. Two more MVP medals sit in the record: the ESL BGMI Pro Series 2024 LAN Finals (34 finishes in 18 matches, ₹50,000) and the BGMI Penta Invitational (63 finishes, ₹1 lakh, in an Orangutan title run), plus the Weltify Pro Clash Season 2 MVP.

Verified: the MVP awards and finish counts via Sportskeeda's event coverage, and the Orangutan roster entry via Liquipedia, which lists AKop as his alternate ID. His listed role in a lineup, personal career earnings and a full team history remain unpublished in the sources this page could verify.

Before Orangutan, AK passed through five lineups in under two years: Nox Official until September 2020, LiveCraft eSport to the end of 2020, TEAM iNSANE in early 2021, Indian Tigers in June and July 2021, and Aztecs Esports that August and September. Liquipedia's transfer table records the sequence at month granularity for the early sides, so this page gives the same dates rather than exact days.

In November 2023, Orangutan loaned AK to Forest Apes for the Battlegrounds Mobile Pro Series 2023, and he returned to the active roster on 17 December 2023 alongside WizzGOD. Liquipedia's roster listing has kept him with Orangutan since that return, and its player infobox lists his status as active.
